As part of the Triple-i Initiative showcase today, developer Thunder Lotus announced that a closed beta for 33 Immortals will begin May 24. The beta gives players a first taste of the 33-player co-op action-roguelike, and you can check out a new trailer for the game below.

The 33 Immortals beta runs until June 2. You can sign up for it at the 33 Immortals website. All beta players will be able to unlock an exclusive skin for the game when it launches later this year across Xbox Series X|S, PC, and the Epic Games Store. The game will also be included as part of Xbox Game Pass for console and PC.

Thunder Lotus previously held an alpha test for 33 Immortals, and the developer is taking some of the feedback and applying it to the closed beta as part of what’s described as the “home stretch of development.” The closed beta will feature a “wide variety” of enemies and locations, in addition to the game’s core mechanics that players can try out ahead of release.

“33 Immortals has made tremendous progress in the few short months since the Alpha,” creative director Stephan Logier said. “We’re grateful to our fans for the valuable feedback they’ve contributed thus far.”

Thunder Lotus is best known for a decidedly different sort of game, Spiritfarer, which was one of GameSpot’s 10 best games of 2020. Prior to that, it developed both Jotun and Sundered.
