Razer is updating its Blackshark V2 Pro headset with two new console-specific variants designed to support spatial audio on PS5 and Xbox. The new models are available now for $200 at Amazon, Best Buy, and Razer’s online store.

The new PlayStation and Xbox Blackshark V2 Pro models are wireless headsets with 50mm audio drivers and a detachable unidirectional mic. They both support 2.4Gz wireless connection via the included USB-C dongle or Bluetooth 5.2, and feature up to 70 hours of battery life.

While the core specs are the same, the models support different platforms. The PlayStation model works with PS5, PC, Mac, and mobile, and supports the PS4’s 3D spatial audio.

On the other hand, the Xbox version works with Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PS5, PS4, PC, Mac, and mobile, but only supports Windows Sonic spatial audio on the Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and Windows 10/11.

Each model is available in black or white color options, though the white variants are only available at Razer’s website or Best Buy.

Along with the new PlayStation and Xbox Blackshark V2 Pro headsets, Razer is also refreshing its Blackshark V2 X headset with PlayStation and Xbox-specific models. The V2 X headsets feature similar specs and designs to the wireless V2 Pro, including platform-specific spatial audio support, but are wired devices and much more affordable at just $50 each. Despite the differences in spatial audio format support, both the Xbox and PlayStation Blackshark V2 X headsets support Nintendo Switch, PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PC, Mac, and mobile via 3.5mm audio connection. You can grab the Blackshark V2 X PlayStation and Xbox wired headsets at Amazon and Razer’s online store.
