Mortal Kombat 1 Launch Trailer Features Ferociously Fierce Fatalities

Warner Bros. Games has released the launch trailer for Mortal Kombat 1, and it’s every bit as brutal as you might expect. The trailer shows off the fighting game’s cast of characters and some of the title’s horrific fatalities–seriously, stick around until the end to see how gross and over-the-top things can get.

In addition to the gory fatalities, the trailer shows off gameplay for Reiko and Shang Tsung for the first time. Take a look for yourself in the video below.

Mortal Kombat 1 releases on September 14 with early access for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Switch, and PC, and then September 19 for everyone. Everyone who preorders Mortal Kombat 1 gets Shang Tsung as a playable character.

The cast of characters in the game include Kang, Scorpion, Sub-Zero, Raiden, Kung Lao, Kitana, Mileena, Shang Tsung, Johnny Cage, Kenshi, Smoke, Rain, Li Mei, Tanya, Baraka, Geras, Reptile, Ashrah, Havik, General Shao, Sindel, and more, including Peacemaker from Suicide Squad and Homelander from the Amazon show The Boys, among others.
