The big Summer Game Fest showcase takes place this Friday, June 7, and people are naturally wondering what they should expect in terms of reveals and announcements. Geoff Keighley, who organzes the show, has now offered some insight into what won’t be on hand at the briefing.

As reported by IGN, Keighley confirmed there will be no Grand Theft Auto VI trailer during Summer Game Fest. It’s been more than six months since the first GTA VI trailer was released in December 2023, so some people believed it might be time for the next trailer or any other information. Apparently that’s not going to happen, though, and GTA fans will have to wait a while longer.

Keighley also said there won’t be Kingdom Hearts 4 news or any reveals for Ken Levine’s new game, Judas. Beyond Good & Evil 2 also won’t show up, nor will there be a big “one more thing” announcement to cap off the event.

In terms of what will be on display during Summer Game Fest, Keighley said there will be announcements regarding updates to existing games, including Palworld and Kingdom Come: Deliverance II. New trailers for Monster Hunter Wilds and Batman: Arkham VR will be on display as well. As for brand-new announcements, Keighley said Blumhouse Games will have something to reveal, while the showcase will debut the first footage of the Among Us animated series.

Summer Game Fest 2024 takes place place on Friday, June 7 at 2 PM PT / 5 PM ET. The show will now take the spot formerly held by E3, the long-running video game trade show once seen as the premier event in gaming, which was permanently canceled last year.

Following Summer Game Fest will be the Xbox Games Showcase event on June 9, with a Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 reveal event to follow immediately after. Then on June 10, Ubisoft will host its Ubisoft Forward event with news on Assassin’s Creed Shadows, XDefiant, and Star Wars Outlaws.
