Activision is seemingly set to raise the player count in Call of Duty: Warzone. A tweet from developer Raven Software suggests that lobbies in the free-to-play battle royale game are growing from 100 to 120 with the upcoming Season 4 launch on May 29.

As fans no doubt recall, Warzone originally had 150-player lobbies before this was reduced to 100 in 2023. At the time, Activision said it made this change because matches were feeling “too chaotic” with 150 players. Reducing the player count at the time also helped with matchmaking times, Activision said. Since then, though, players have been calling for Activision to increase the player count, and now it’s happening. Warzone Mobile also has 120-player lobbies.

Looking further out, Activision has announced Black Ops 6, and Raven Software is a co-developer on the game alongside Treyarch and Activision’s network of global studios. A live-action trailer features real-life people like Bill Clinton and Saddam Hussein, and more details on the game are coming this June.
