You Can Fight Almost Anyone in Cyberpunk 2077, Except Kids or Story NPCs

If you hate kids this won’t be the game for you.

The game everyone’s talking about is coming next year, and the more we hear about Cyberpunk 2077 the more we can’t wait for it to launch.

The next huge, expansive and sprawling RPG from CD Projekt Red is about as far from The Witcher 3 as possible, offering up a dystopian adventure in a futurist world that’s obsessed with body modification.

It’s just been confirmed by the developers that the game definitely won’t be holding back when it comes to the the ol’ ultraviolence, as you’ll be able to pick fights with basically anyone in the game.

A Reddit user by the name of masoncool4566 asked CD Projekt Red developers about fighting in the game, and was told: “You won’t be able to attack children or NPCs connected with the plot, but other than that you can be aggressive towards most people you meet.”

Confirming the comment with PCGamer, CD Projekt Red also added that the game will contain areas in which your beat-’em-up attitude might get you in more trouble than others, so be careful where you start your battles.

Unfortunately, it means that you probably won’t be able to pick to a fight with Keanu Reeves, who’s playing the character Johnny Silverhand. It’s not been confirmed by CD Projekt Red, but Silverhand is definitely looking like a story-centric NPC.

Cyberpunk 2077 is described as follows: “An open-world, action-adventure story set in Night City, a megalopolis obsessed with power, glamour and body modification.

“You play as V, a mercenary outlaw going after a one-of-a-kind implant that is the key to immortality. You can customize your character’s cyberware, skillset and playstyle, and explore a vast city where the choices you make shape the story and the world around you.”

During E3 2019 CD Projekt Red finally gave us a release date for Cyberpunk 2077, which is set to launch on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC, April 16, 2020.
