The newest episode of GameSpot’s video series The Kurt Locker is out now, and it’s all about retro games and specifically the price differences in America and Japan.
Watch the video to see host and producer Kurt Indovina discuss how he had to learn the hard way about how much more expensive retro games are in America compared to Japan. Kurt goes deep down a rabbit role to get some answers about retro game prices and how Japan and America view and price older games.
Kurt goes to Japan in the episode and visits places like Tokyo’s electronic district Akihabara, which is known to be a hub for retro games. Kurt also talks generally about being a collector and shares some stories about the game D2 and his connections to it over the years.
If you like these videos, be sure to go back and watch previous episodes of The Kurt Locker, which have centered around why you should play more 6/10 games and the phenomenon of all the remakes these days.
