The Xbox Series X|S version of Warhammer 40,000: Darktide has been delayed, as has the upcoming seasonal content rollout for the game. On Twitter, developer Fatshark released a statement announcing the delay, citing feedback from the community as the reason for the delay.

“Over the next few months, our sole focus is to address the feedback that many of you have,” Fatshark CEO and co-founder Martin Wahlund wrote in the statement. “In particular, we will focus on delivering a complete crafting system, a more rewarding progression loop, and continue to work on game stability and performance optimization.”

Wahlund thanked the community for playing and providing feedback on Darktide’s issues, saying the team is committed to creating a game that will reward players for weeks, not hours.

“This also means that we will delay our seasonal content rollout and the Xbox Series X|S launch,” Wahlund writes. “We will also suspend the upcoming releases of premium cosmetics. We just couldn’t continue down this path, knowing that we have not addressed many feedback areas in the game today.”

Warhammer 40,000: Darktide is available for PC. In GameSpot’s Warhammer 40,000: Darktide review, Mark Delaney wrote, “Darktide feels like both the natural progression of Vermintide’s best parts as well as an exemplar of some growing pains in the live-service world. Things like combat, pacing, and team builds are expertly considered and crafted, but metagame elements such as chasing loot and cosmetics have some issues that are admittedly common when a team tries to create a new game with a long tail. It’s both a promising Left 4 Dead-like and a flawed live service, but its issues are fixable, and the growth of Vermintide suggests that Darktide will also enjoy a long shelf life as one of the better games of its kind.”
