The game was first revealed in 2018 and it’s been delayed multiple times for various reasons, including development issues due to the ongoing war between Ukraine and Russia. GSC Game World had to evacuate Ukraine but has now presumedly continued development.
Earlier this month, distributor Plaion listed a December 2023 release window for Stalker 2 on its website, but neither GSC Game World nor Plaion confirmed it. Now, we know the release window is Q1 2024.
Stalker 2 is a timed console exclusive to Xbox Series X|S, but this exclusivity will reportedly only last for three months.
