PS5 SSD Discounts Aren’t Nearly As Common This Year, But This Amazon Deal Is Worth Checking Out

Deals on SSDs aren’t as plentiful–or as significant–as they were last year, but right now, you can score a nice discount on some lightning-fast storage for your PS5 or PC. At Amazon, the Lexar 1TB NM790 SSD is on sale for $80, a nice 27% discount when compared to its usual price of $110. It includes a heatsink as well, so that saves you some more cash and means it’s already properly configured for installation in your PS5.

In case you’re wondering why SSD deals seem to have dried up lately, there have been reports that manufacturers have been dialing back on production to clear excess stock, while the price of NAND flash memory has almost doubled since last year. In other words, production costs are increasing and consumers will need to pay extra for SSDs.
