Mega Man X Joins Minecraft In New DLC

Mojang has announced a crossover with Capcom to bring Mega Man X and his friends to the world of Minecraft. In this new DLC, players can play iconic characters from the franchise as they play through levels from the X series.

The DLC will feature 14 skins that players can wear and will have the original Mega Man X soundtrack. Based on what was shown in the trailer, players can play the DLC alone or with other friends.

As players progress through the story, they’ll encounter other Mega Man X villains, such as Vile, and mavericks Chill Penguin, Storm Eagle, Armored Armadillo, and Sting Chameleon. In addition to that, the game will also switch from first-person to a side-scroller view.

Players will also have the opportunity to upgrade their character with bolts at the Hunter Base when they’re in between missions. They can upgrade their heart slots, allowing them to take more damage and or increase their extra lives.

To play the Mega Man X DLC, players will have to spend 1,340 Minecraft coins (Minecraft premium currency), which comes out to roughly $8.
