Bad Robot Games, the video game division of Star Wars and Star Trek director JJ Abrams’ production studio, has hired former Valve business leader Anna Sweet as its CEO, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
In addition to working at Valve, Sweet spent time as head of developer strategy for Oculus where she worked on virtual reality technology with Oculus Rift.
Bad Robot Games was founded in 2018, and it is partially funded by Tencent and Warner Bros. own internal game development arm, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment. That company is reportedly up for sale, with companies like Microsoft, EA, Activision, and others said to be interested in a purchase.
