With Hogwarts Legacy’s release quickly approaching, Warner Bros. Games provided a better view of what awaits fledgling wizards in the open-world game. A new cinematic trailer highlights the castle grounds, the Great Hall, a mysterious masked wizard, and even a dragon.

The video starts with a witch telling an owl to find them, presumably meaning new wizards (that’s you!). The bird of prey then glides around Hogwarts before swooping into the Great Hall. It’s there that Nearly Headless Nick is hanging out, along with students and Professor Weasley.

From there the owl flies into the Forbidden Forest, where students are battling giant spiders. Outside the woods, a masked wizard attempts to Avada Kedavra the bird. (So if the mask wasn’t enough, this probably means they’re a villain.) That’s not the only scary obstacle the owl encounters, though. There’s also a dragon that’s battling a trio of pupils. Finally, the owl drops off the letter to a young witch–a stand-in for the player.

Hogwarts Legacy arrives on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC next month: February 10. The action-RPG will offer two different graphics modes on PS5 and Xbox Series X. Warner Bros. and developer Avalanche Software recently revealed the minimum and recommended PC specs for the game too.

Xbox One and PS4 players will have to wait longer to become a wizard. Hogwarts Legacy is set to release on those systems April 4, with a Nintendo Switch launch coming afterward on July 25.

The leadup to the game has been overshadowed by author J.K. Rowling’s anti-transgender stance. She’s not directly involved in development, but her remarks have affected the entire Wizarding World. For more, here’s everything we know about Hogwarts Legacy.
