Final Fantasy VII DLC For Powerwash Simulator Arrives On March 2

Square Enix has confirmed that the Final Fantasy VII DLC for Powerwash Simulator will officially release on March 2 for PC, PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and Switch. Announced earlier this year, the add-on developed by Futurlab for its relaxing grime-fighting simulator will take players to the streets of Midgar where they’ll be tasked with completing some tough and filthy levels.

Only a few teasers were given during the initial reveal, but Square Enix has expanded on what you can expect when this free DLC launches. Five levels set above and below the plate of Midgar will be available, as Don Corneo’s lackeys, Professor Hojo’s “specimens”, and Heidegger’s rampaging tech have made a huge mess that needs cleaning up.

There’s even a new dirt-type to deal with, bio-residue, which you’ll find in these new levels. The Hardy Daytona motorcycle ridden by Cloud and the adorable Shinra hauler are all caked in muck, and you’ll need to bust out all of your high-level nozzles to get Shinra’s prized Scorpion Sentinel back in showroom condition.

For the bigger jobs you’ll be working for both Avalanche and Shinra, as Tifa’s Sector 7 bar has seen better days and the Mako energy exhibit is full of grime. Lastly, the Airbuster mech is covered in mud, so prepare to spend some time cleaning every nook and cranny of it so that Shinra can use it to squash a rebellion in style.

This isn’t the first time that Powerwash Simulator has done a video game crossover, as the game added Lara Croft’s mud-encrusted mansion to its library recently. The Tomb Raider DLC is free on both PC consoles–the franchise was recently acquired by Embracer, and the next game will be published by Amazon.
