Dragon’s Dogma 2 has dozens of side quests for you to undertake. One, in particular, tasks you with discovering a hired killer before he can act. Here’s our guide on how to find the Shadowed Prayers assassin in Dragon’s Dogma 2.
The Shadowed Prayers quest comes from a guardsman in the city of Bakbattahl, which you get to visit halfway through the campaign. Here’s a quick summary:
A guard (left) will tell you to speak with Menella (right).
Talk to Menella, and she’ll say that someone attempted to assassinate Empress Nadinia. That person will return in the morning while Nadinia gathers the townsfolk for her supplications/prayers. She also gives you the Bandit Bill of Arrest, which has a clue regarding the description of the assailant.
As of this writing, we can’t confirm if the clue is different for other players. In our case, we got the following description: “Wears his hair tied back; right arm was wounded in the attack.”
When you’re ready, sleep at the inn until morning. Then, make your way to the temple and wait for Menella to speak with you. Next, while Nadinia is praying, you have to find the perpetrator. For us, it was the man wearing a tunic along the left-hand side (when facing down the steps).
Just in case the description or positioning for each player is randomized, we suggest activating Photo Mode from the menu. It should allow you to look around to see if someone matches the description.
In any case, once you’ve found the Shadowed Prayers assassin in Dragon’s Dogma 2, go ahead and press the grab button when you’re next to them. You can also kick them if you want. Menella and the guards will be alerted, and the individual will be taken care of. For your efforts, you’ll receive 3,500 XP, 18,000 gold, and 5x Jasper.
Fierce foes and loyal companions await you as you journey onward in Dragon’s Dogma 2. For other tips and strategies, you can visit our guides hub.
