CoD: Modern Warfare Update Will Be Split In Two; Here’s How To Download Both

If you own Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, updating your game this week will be slightly different. Developer Infinity Ward is splitting the patch content across two separate downloads, one of which you’ll have to manually start.

The first part will download as normal on your console of choice, kicking in as soon as you try launch the game when the update goes live later this week. You’ll then be prompted to download the Data Pack DLC, and you won’t be able to play anything other than Warzone until that is complete.

When both downloads are completed, you’ll have to restart Modern Warfare for them to apply. If you’re just playing the free-to-play battle royale mode Warzone, you won’t have to start this second download as it only applies to paid content part of the base Modern Warfare package.
