Call of Duty Season 2 is coming to an end, meaning a brand-new season of content is on its way. Here are all the rumors and details we know so far about Season 3 for Modern Warfare 3 multiplayer, Zombies, Warzone, and Warzone Mobile.
Activision has confirmed Season 3 is arriving on Wednesday, April 3. These updates usually go live at 9 AM PT / 12 PM ET / 5 PM BST across all platforms.
Season 3 will include a new battle pass for unlocking more weapons and cosmetics. Seasonal passes usually contain at least one operator and two DLC weapons.
Based on leaks from data miners, Season 3 could include the Bal-27 assault rifle, MORS sniper rifle, AMS1 submachine gun, and the EM1 energy weapon from Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare. The leaks were shared by HYP0ESTHESIA and also by well-known Call of Duty leaker HeyImAlaix.
Weapons from Advanced Warfare are currently set to return in Season 3 of #MWIII. The returning weapons are:
– EM1 (JP32)
– AMS1 (JP33)
– BAL27 (JP34)
– MORS (JP35) https://t.co/5xxsBuMIOu pic.twitter.com/nOnEgChXdI— bryan. (@HYP0ESTHESIA) October 7, 2023
Data miners also found references to possible operator bundles for Cheech and Chong, NBA player Devin Booker, and the return of the Snoop Dogg operator bundle.
Warzone’s popular Rebirth Island map is returning with the launch of Season 3. Rebirth Island is currently available to play in Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile, but the map hasn’t been featured in the console or PC version of Warzone since the launch of Warzone 2.
While we don’t have any specific details for Season 3 of Warzone Mobile yet, players can still expect the game to share the same battle pass and progression with the console and PC version.
Activision hasn’t announced any specific content for Season 3 of MW3, but the update will likely include new maps, game modes, and new limited-time events. Season 2 was full of collaborations with events and bundles for The Walking Dead, Dune: Part Two, and Warhammer 40,000, so there’s also the possibility of another big IP crossover.
Data mining has also uncovered a potential PvPvE mode for Zombies mode. According to SemtexLeaks, this could be a standalone mode that could arrive in Season 3 or later.
Nothing has been officially announced by Activision, but we’ll likely learn more about Season 3 soon.
